Disculpa que sea lento para responderte pero he estado ocupado recientemente
en algunos proyectos importantes y, también, siento la necesidad de
considerar esta pregunta muy cuidadosamente. Por una parte, me siento muy
alagado por tu solicitud. Por otra parte, existe cierta negación a ofrecer
un permiso tam amplio, y al mismo tiempo perdiendo control y autoria.

No puedo recordar si este titulo ha sido previamente traducido al Español
(muchos de mis libros han sido traducidos) pero, de ser así, estoy
totalmente seguro de que ya se encuentra fuera de impresión en cualquier
idioma actualmente. En cualquier caso, estando fuera de impresión, los
derechos de autor se han revertido enteramente a mi.

No tengo ninguna objeción fuerte a adaptaciones pero si estoy muy interesado
en ver un ejemplo de lo que estas proponiendo. Desafortunadamente, mi
Español es pobre y en gran desuso. Por supuesto, si lo estuvieras
escribiendo en Thailandes, podría echarle una ojeada mucho mejor. Para las
traducciones en Aleman, Japones, Chino y Ruso... no puedo leer más que unas
cuentas palabras de Aleman.

En cualquier caso, creo que te diría adelante, pero esperaría el credito
apropiado y sólo consideralo una cuestión de /karma/. Despues de todo, mi
intensión al escribir los libros (no tomando en cuenta el dinero) era de
enseñar ya que el impartir sabiduría y aprendizaje siempre es ganancia...
Estoy tratando de pensar en la palabra correcta en Ingles --- en Thailandes,
yo diría "/tahm boon/", lo que significa "crear (ganar) merito" pero no
puedo pensar en un equivalente exacto en Ingles o Español

I'm sorry that I'm slow responding but I've been rather busy recently on
some important projects and, as well, I've feel a need to consider this
question carefully.  On the one hand, I am honored (and flattered) by
your request.  On the other, there is a certain reluctance to offer a
too-blanket permission, thus relinquishing control and authorship.

I can't remember if this title has previously been translated to Spanish
(many of my titles have) but, if so, I'm sure that it's out of print in
any language at present.  In any case, being out of print, the
copyrights have reverted entirely to me.

I have no strong objections to adaptations but I would be interested to
see an example of what you propose.  Unfortunately, my Spanish is poor
and long disused (/hablo un poco pero no muy bien y no muy dispacio)./
Of course, if you were writing in Thai, I might muddle through a bit
better.  As for the German, Japanese, Chinese and Russian translations
... I can't read more than a few words of the German.

In any case, I guess I'll say go ahead but I'll expect credit as
appropriate and just consider it a matter of /karma/.  After all, my
intention in writing the books (money aside) was to teach because to
impart wisdom and learning is always to earn ... I'm trying to think of
the right word in English -- in Thai, I would say "/tahm boon/", meaning
